A Dreamy Wedding at Finca Es Riquers, Mallorca

When Charlotte and Ollie chose the breathtaking Finca Es Riquers in Mallorca as their wedding venue, we knew it would be something special. With its rustic charm, sprawling grounds, and golden Spanish light, it was a dream setting for a celebration filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Setting the Scene

A wedding at Finca Es Riquers - a Spanish paradise, rich with character and natural beauty. The venue’s stone architecture, with its sun-warmed honey-hued walls, is surrounded by sprawling olive groves and manicured gardens. A long driveway leads you into this tranquil oasis, with rolling countryside scenes stretching out in every direction.




At its heart lies a charming stone courtyard, bordered by vibrant greenery and framed by the rustic elegance of the Finca itself. The pool area, prepared for the evening’s dining, was nothing short of magical. Hundreds of twinkling fairy lights were strung overhead, casting a gentle, romantic glow over the water. Tables were arranged around the pool’s edge, blending the beauty of nature with a refined, elegant atmosphere.



It was a setting that felt timeless and effortlessly romantic—the perfect backdrop for Charlotte and Ollie’s dream wedding.


Morning Preparations

The day kicked off with some golf for Ollie and his groomsmen, setting a relaxed and fun tone. Meanwhile, my team of two and I arrived at Finca Es Riquers, taking time to explore the venue, photograph details, and capture beautiful drone footage of the property. The Finca’s grand staircase made the perfect spot for photographing Charlotte’s elegant bridal details.

Inside, Charlotte and her bridesmaids were getting ready, sharing bubbly and laughter in a calm and joyful atmosphere. The girls wore beautiful blue bridesmaid dresses, complementing the light blue suits and white trainers the groomsmen would wear later. Charlotte’s gown was stunning—delicate, timeless, and with shoes that tied gracefully around her ankles, reminiscent of ballet pumps.


The morning was made even more special with a touching first look shared between Charlotte, her bridesmaids, and her dad. Emotions were high, and it was such a privilege to capture those heartfelt reactions.




Pre-Ceremony Moments

The boys returned from golf with lunch for everyone, and after getting ready, they enjoyed a refreshing swim in the pool. Meanwhile, Charlotte’s dad sat down with Ollie’s parents to put the final touches on his speech—complete with charming anecdotes from Ollie’s childhood.

We set up our video cameras and prepared for the ceremony as the girls made their way down the Finca’s grand staircase. The ceremony space was beautifully decorated with two towering gypsophila pillars that framed the aisle. The lush green from the willow trees and surrounding foliage framed the ceremony space perfectly.






The Ceremony

Under the shade of willows, with Spanish dappled light dancing over the guests, Charlotte and Ollie exchanged vows in a ceremony that was both beautiful and deeply personal. One unique touch was the sealing of a red wine bottle—meant to be opened and enjoyed by the couple on their fifth wedding anniversary. It was a perfect blend of tradition and creativity.




Drinks, Canapés, and Photos

With the ceremony complete, guests made their way to the main Finca for drinks and canapés. As Charlotte and Ollie mingled with their loved ones, we captured the stunning pool area set up for dinner—it was nothing short of spectacular.

We took the couple away for a few intimate portraits before their grand entrance into the reception, greeted by napkin-waving guests. The energy was infectious, setting the perfect tone for the speeches that followed.



The Reception Setup

The outdoor dining area at Finca Es Riquers was a vision of elegance and intimacy. Set beside the pool and framed by twinkling fairy lights, the dining tables were arranged in a horseshoe shape, allowing guests to be seated on either side and creating a cosy, inclusive atmosphere where everyone could see and chat with one another with ease.


At the center of it all sat Charlotte and Ollie, perfectly positioned to be surrounded by their loved ones. The tables were dressed in a harmonious palette of greens and whites, adorned with lush florals, flickering candles, and beautifully designed menus.


A particularly charming touch was the presence of locally-produced olives and olive oil, harvested and created right at the Finca, scattered across the tables for guests to enjoy. With the fairy lights overhead, the soft glow reflected beautifully off the pool’s surface, with views stretching out to the distant olive trees beyond.


All of this was meticulously planned and executed by Charlotte and Maira, the talented team at Wedding Besos, who brought Charlotte and Ollie’s vision to life with perfection.

Sunset Couples Photos

As the sun began to set, we took advantage of the golden hour light for Charlotte and Ollie’s couples photos. They had already agreed to step away from dinner and their guests at this perfect moment, allowing us to capture some truly magical shots.


We started around the front of the property, using the beautiful draping willows to delicately frame the couple. Their laughter and connection were effortless, with natural moments unfolding as we guided them through gentle poses. From there, we strolled down the long driveway, with the sunset painting a warm glow across the landscape. As they walked, we captured wide, cinematic shots—some from the ground, and others with the drone, including romantic spins that added a playful, dynamic feel to their portraits. We also got Ollie and Charlotte underneath Charlotte's sprawling veil for some intimate photos, using the light behind to create a truly romantic and dreamy feel.


We ended the session at the entrance of the Finca, where the towering palm trees and grand doorway provided the perfect backdrop for some final, timeless images. The combination of grandeur and intimacy was stunning, with the couple’s joyful energy shining through in every frame.

It was a moment of calm and romance before the night’s festivities continued, and we couldn’t have asked for better conditions to capture their connection.

Dinner, Dancing & Late-Night Fun

After dinner, the deck area transformed into a dance floor for their cake cutting and first dance. The energy was electric, with an epic DJ keeping everyone dancing and laughing throughout the night.


We also took the opportunity to capture some wider drone shots of the property, highlighting the incredible ambiance created by the hundreds of fairy lights twinkling over the pool area. These shots added a stunning layer of storytelling, showcasing the magic of the evening from above.


Embracing a new style of storytelling, we captured some editorial-style flat lay shots of the tables post-dinner. With eaten desserts, coffee cups, and direct flash, these images conveyed the warmth and intimacy of the evening’s celebrations. The imperfections told their own beautiful story—evidence of joy, laughter, and connection.


From cigar group shots and champagne sprays to a vibrant descent to the Finca’s underground club, the festivities carried on well into the night. We wrapped up at 1 am, having documented a day brimming with love, joy, and endless laughter.

From start to finish, Charlotte and Ollie’s wedding was a celebration to remember. We were so honoured to capture every precious moment, from the soft morning light to the electric late-night dancing.
